MAP GRADUATE'S LOVE AND COMEDY ONLINE

Film producer and Media Arts and Production graduate Matt Reeder's 10-part romantic comedy is a rollicking treat with big highs.

Reeder's romantic comedy Pink Dragon features The Secret Life Of Us star Samuel Johnson as a professional role-player entangled with a compulsive liar and kleptomaniac, played by Home & Away's Ella Scott Lynch.

Shot on the cheap for the internet, Reeder's film could signal the future of broadcasting and a move towards low budget, large audience productions.

COMPOSER SEEKING FEEDBACK AND WORK

I am seeking music composition work for film, multimedia, animations or games.

I have just added two new compositions to the demo link at my web site. I would really appreciate some feedback on this music if you have the time please have a listen and send me an email.

If by chance and serendipity you are looking for big budget sounding classical, distinctive soundtracks, at a very small fraction of the cost of hiring an orchestra, I would be more than happy prepare a pitch and quotation that would be well within your budget. I own rights to orchestral sample libraries that give a big budget orchestral sound, like Hans Zimmer, to smaller projects. My scores sound great played by a real orchestra too.

AUSTRALIAN HOPE AWARDS - CALL FOR ENTRIES

DEADLINE MARCH 28TH, 2008

Less than four weeks remain for professional and amateur Australian filmmakers aiming to enter the 2007/08 Hope Awards. The program opened in December with Hope Awards ambassador, Jono Coleman, calling for short films with a clear message of hope for people with mental illness, and their families and carers. The deadline for entries is Friday, 28 March 2008.

The Hope Awards program was established to generate new, realistic portrayals of mental illness via the popular medium of short film, to help counter the negative stereotypes and stigma that often prove a barrier for people seeking treatment.

This year, more than $22,000 in prize money is being offered in the core categories of Drama and Documentary, and the new Committee’s Choice award to encourage filmmakers with a strong story idea ‐ but perhaps little film‐making experience ‐ to pluck up the courage and enter.
